Near real-time satellite data delivery

Spacemetric is collaborating with Norwegian KSAT to provide a near real-time exploitation platform for radar and optical satellite data. The project will cut sensor-to-user time from hours to minutes, delivering analysis-ready data such as orthoimages to time-critical applications through the EOPORT platform.

The EOPORT solution combines KSAT’s satellite ground station services for data download with Spacemetric’s data pre-processing and delivery capabilities, enabling customised products to be delivered to users in minutes. The service is targeting key applications including environmental nowcasting, disaster response and continuous change monitoring. The capability is also of value to satellite manufacturers and operators by enabling a high degree of workflow flexibility to be built into processing chains as standard. This supports new and rapidly evolving business models, including rapid data delivery, without significant costs to modify or retrofit new capabilities.
