Getting data ready for analytics
Bluestone enhances data coming directly from the sensor so that onboard analytics can do its best work. It inherits the DNA of our ground-based solutions in a streamlined form to achieve high quality results in flight suitable for AI and other analytics.
We build an adapter that adds your sensor into the Bluestone environment. Its pre-processing reduces image noise and achieves accurate band registration so pixels stack correctly to give reliable spectral signatures. Bluestone is optimised for operations in resource-limited environments including small satellites and drones.
FLYING DATA NODE
Smart data download
Bluestone turns the sensor platform into a flying data node. It manages both the sensor data and the processing workflow, including sensor-adapted pre-processing, and customer-defined analytics if required. Bluestone manages the onboard image metadata and can synchronise with a ground-based node to enable smart download of specific data.
Bluestone has been tested in orbit on space-qualified low-power CPU processors with performance able to support near real-time applications. Bluestone can also host customers’ own AI-based and traditional value-add algorithms to build complete end-to-end application workflows.
